Terra Firma CFO to depart

Dominic Spiri's departure follows the appointment of Vivek Ahuja, former deputy group CFO of Standard Chartered, to the role of group chief financial officer in January.

Terra Firma Capital Partners CFO Dominic Spiri will depart the firm after almost 13 years, sister publication Private Equity International has learned.

A Companies House filing from 22 May confirmed Spiri’s termination as a director. He served as head of tax and restructuring before his appointment as CFO in October 2015, according to his LinkedIn.

Terra Firma declined to comment. It is unclear when Spiri will leave the firm.

The move follows the appointment of Vivek Ahuja, former deputy group CFO of Standard Chartered, to the role of group chief financial officer in January. The newly created role sees Ahuja split his time between the firm and its portfolio, in what chief executive Andrew Géczy described as a “modern broad-based CFO role.”

Géczy hinted at departures when PEI sat down for an interview in September last year.

“Whenever you get a new CEO, you make an assessment of the team on the field: that’s what new CEOs do,” he said at the time. “We’re trying to build something for the future, and you want people who want to be here for the next 10 years. You don’t want people who want to be here for the next five years.”
