Ex-Rhone Group controller Frank Ferrara has joined advisory and fund administration firm Maitland as a senior client service manager.

Ferrara has joined New York-headquartered Maitland to deal with new business, onboard new clients and manage existing relationships, according to the firm.

Before Rhone, where he was responsible for fund and investor reporting, Ferrara was a senior fund accountant at real estate firm Madison International Realty and a senior associate at KPMG US, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Ferrara said he decided to join Maitland because private equity managers are continuing to outsource to third-party administrators and Maitland is well-placed to grow. He will also oversee the service platform, data migration and relationship management for clients.

The firm’s head of North America private equity Ben Pershick said the firm is developing more advanced analytics and powerful investor reporting tools. The firm said Ferrara’s appointment was “a direct response” to Maitland’s growth.

In November Ferrara’s previous employer Rhone, which manages around $10 billion in assets, sold a 30 percent stake in its business to listed French manager Eurazeo for $100 million and two million Eurazeo shares.
