PRI adds three to PE advisory board

The new members come from Ardian, Pantheon and Hamilton Lane.

Representatives from Hamilton Lane, Ardian, and Pantheon have become members of the Principles for Responsible Investment’s Private Equity Advisory Committee.

Candice Brenet, managing director and head of CSR and Responsible Investment at Ardian; Jie Gong of Pantheon’s Hong Kong arm; and Ana Lei Ortiz, a managing director at Hamilton Lane will advise on and oversee members’ responsible investment strategies.

They replace Adam Frost at Bridges Ventures, Millie Chow of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation and Darren Massara of NewQuest Capital Partners, who have stepped down, having completed their three year terms on the committee.

Currently the PRI private equity program’s primary focus is to streamline LP-GP reporting on ESG. It recently devised a strategy to combine PRI principles with the selection, appointment and monitoring of GPs.

The committee meets four times annually. It also supports individual policy projects and represents the PRI within the industry. In 2017, the committee will be chaired by Jesus Arguelles of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

In 2017, the PRI will co-host its first Responsible Investment Forum US with PEI on 7-8 March in New York.
