HarbourVest appoints CTO

HarbourVest Partners has named Tricia Mackechnie chief technology officer and managing director.

Mackechnie will lead the firm’s global IT team and will be responsible for IT infrastructure, application development, quality assurance and cybersecurity functions. She will be based in the firm’s Boston office.

She joins HarbourVest from The Hartford, a US-based investment and insurance company, where she was senior vice-president and chief information officer. Previously she held various senior level technology, operations, consulting and project management positions at ING and Accenture.

HarbourVest is an independent, global private markets investment specialist with more than $40 billion in assets under management.
