Partners Group restructures senior team

The firm has also appointed two new committee members, with all new roles effective from July 1.

Partners Group, a global investment firm, is reshuffling its senior team, citing the need for partners to focus on investment and client-related responsibilities.

The firm’s chief financial officer, Cyrill Wipfli, will adopt a new role as co-head of portfolio management and join the Global Portfolio Committee, leaving the firm’s executive committee.

The firm’s finance and business development leads, Manuel Ottinger and Philip Sauer, will assume the chief financial officer function and report directly to co-chief executive André Frei.

Yves Schneller, who is currently head of legal and transactions, will join the Global Executive Board in a new role as head of investment services. Schneller joined the firm in 2008.

Newly appointed heads of infrastructure and private equity at the firm, Juri Jenker and David Layton, will join the firm’s executive committee.

Felix Haldner, currently head of investment structures, will now focus on strategic client development in Europe, alongside Stefan Näf, head of client solutions at the firm.

Due to this increased focus on client-related activities, both will leave the Executive Committee and remain on the Global Executive Board.

The reshuffle will be effective from July 1.
