The San Bernardino County Employees Retirement Association is seeking proposals for investment counsel.
It will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating investment-related documents, offering tax advice, representing the pension fund in litigation and offering general legal advice. Working alongside existing counsel Foley & Lardner, it will not be required to handle securities litigation.
The firm must have at least five years’ experience providing counsel to public pension funds with assets in excess of $1 billion. The lead attorney must have at least eight years’ experience providing investment counsel to institutional investors.
Applications close on March 6.
