Elian grows Guernsey funds team

The fund services provider strengthened its ranks with two new appointments and a senior promotion.

Elian, formerly known as Ogier Fiduciary Services, is continuing its global expansion with new additions to its Guernsey fund services team.

Kees Jager has joined as an associate director and will lead the local fund services group. Working under Jager, Sally Ann Brehaut also joined as an assistant manager focused on compliance.

Jager has more than 15 years’ experience in the Guernsey fund industry. He previously led a team of 16 at Northern Trust and has held various directorships spanning fund structures.

Brehaut joins Elian from Heritage, where she spent eight years working as a compliance officer and money laundering reporting officer. She has spent more than 20 years working in compliance and company secretarial administration.

Additionally, Elian promoted Leasa Callaway to manager. Callaway has been with Elian since 2011, having worked previously at Heritage, Northern Trust and Bachmann Fund Administration. Her clients include real estate, private equity and infrastructure fund managers.

Since spinning out from Ogier in September 2014, Elian has been steadily growing its team in 11 office locations across the globe. In November, the service provider added Kathy Cheng as a new associate director to oversee its fund services team in Hong Kong and Kerstin Lindgren as a depositary specialist in Luxembourg.Â
