Astorg hires firm-wide COO

The French private equity firm hired a new COO to oversee its operations in France, Luxembourg and London.

French private equity shop Astorg Partners appointed Guilluame de Malliard to the new position of firm-wide chief operating officer (COO). He will supervise all of Astorg’s back-office functions including finance, control, legal, human resources and IT, according to a statement from the firm.

De Malliard will oversee firm activities in France, Luxembourg and London, and Jean Casamayou, COO for Astorg’s French operations, and Bénédicte Moens-Colleaux, COO for the firm’s Luxembourg operations, will report to him, an Astorg spokesperson told pfm.

For the past 15 years, de Malliard has worked with French bank Rothschild & Cie Banque, where he held senior roles in wealth engineering and development and private banking. In 2011, he was appointed a managing partner at the bank.

Prior to Rothschild, he worked as the chief of staff of the archbishop of Paris, Jean-Marie Lustiger, and as head of marketing and product engineering operations at Paribas.
