Sanne appoints EMEA head in Luxembourg

Sean Murray is the second new starter unveiled by the fund administrator in two days.

Sanne has appointed Sean Murray as head of fund services for the EMEA region, based in its Luxembourg office.

Murray will develop the company’s fund service offering across all alternative asset products.

He joins from Orangefield, where he was a managing director and a member of the global alternative investments management board.

He also created the firm’s fund services offering in Luxembourg after it was given a licence to service regulated funds business and was involved in the acquisition of other fund administrators, bolstering Orangefield’s regional presence.

His hire follows the firm’s March acquisition of its depository licence in Luxembourg, which allows it to service alternative investment funds in the country.

It’s the second hire the firm has made this week. On Wednesday Fred Steinberg was unveiled as managing director in New York, as reported by pfm.

Sanne has been expanding its global coverage, acquiring a number of rival fund administrators over the past 12 months. The most recent being IFS Group which it acquired in November.
