Ogier Jersey hire continues market optimism

The Luxembourg funds law firm has announced a series of hires in recent weeks.

Ogier has hired Emily Haithwaite as a funds and regulation partner in its Jersey office.
Haithwaite joins from Bedell Cristin, where she was a private equity partner. She also has experience in EU funds regulation, and is a member of the Jersey Alternative Investment Fund Managers’ Directive working group.

Haithwaite is Ogier’s second funds hire in recent weeks, following Anne-Gaëlle Delabye’s appointment as funds managing associate in its Luxembourg office. Delabye joined the firm from Jeantet Luxembourg, where she was counsel. She was previously an associate at Clifford Chance.

Ogier has said it expects increased activity in the private funds markets of Luxembourg and other offshore locations, citing uncertainty over Brexit.
