CIFC appoints new general counsel

Julian Weldon, who in March was hired as head of corporate strategy, will take on two extra titles at the private debt firm.

CIFC’s head of corporate strategy, Julian Weldon, will also take on the roles of general counsel and chief compliance officer effective 7 August, according to the firm’s website. Robert Milton, CIFC’s current general counsel and chief compliance officer, is leaving the firm. Milton couldn’t be reached for comment.
