McDermott Will & Emery boosts Chicago office

Gregory Metz joins from Ropes & Gray, while Hogan Lovells and Latham & Watkins make New York and London hires.

McDermott Will & Emery, a US-based international law firm, has appointed Gregory Metz as a private equity transactions lawyer in its Chicago office.

Metz, who joins from Ropes & Gray, will focus on mid-market transactions. His clients include Bain Capital Ventures, KRG Capital Partners and Altamont Capital Partners.

On the US east coast, Hogan Lovells has appointed Adam Tope as a funds formation partner. Tope joins from Greenberg Traurig where he was a shareholding partner.

In Europe, Latham & Watkins has appointed Daniel Csefalvay as a financial regulation partner in London. He advises fund managers on all financial regulation including the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II. He joins from Linklaters, where he was a partner.
