Cambridge hires ex-Bain partner as human capital head

Elizabeth Ramos, the investment advisor's most senior hire since 2016, has been brought on in a newly-created position.

Cambridge Associates has hired Elizabeth Ramos as managing director and head of human capital, a newly created position.

She joins from Fidelity Private Equity, where she was senior vice president of human capital. Prior to Fidelity she spent 22 years at Bain & Co, latterly as partner responsible for global human capital.

“What sets Cambridge Associates apart is its people and ability to nurture and attract the very best investors and partners for our clients,” said Cambridge’s chief executive officer David Druley. “Liz is distinguished by her experience and insights when it comes to the people aspect of corporate strategy, and we are delighted to have her on board. She will help drive our ongoing work cultivating and investing in superior talent to meet the increasing demand from clients around the world for our portfolio management services.”

Ramos is based in the firm’s Boston headquarters and sits on its management team. She is the firm’s most senior hire since the June 2016 recruitment of Vicky Williams, the former head of private equity at BP Investment Management, the in-house fund manager for the BP Pension Fund. Williams is a senior investment director.
