Cold Mountain appoints CFO

Anthony Bergen has joined the aerospace-focused private equity firm from sister company Stony Point Group.

North Carolina-based private equity firm Cold Mountain Capital has appointed Anthony Bergen as chief financial officer. Bergen joins the firm from sister company Stony Point Group, a private equity firm that acquires technology manufacturing and service companies.

Cold Mountain Capital was launched by Stony Point Group in 2013 to focus on investments in the aerospace industry. Cold Mountain is co-founded and led by aerospace and private equity pro David Nolletti, according to a statement from the firm.

Bergen has spent several years working as CFO for Stony Point. Prior to this role he served as CFO for TECT Power, a Stony Point affiliate and middle market manager of turbine engine components.

“Tony is exceptionally well-qualified to serve as CFO of Cold Mountain. His technical skills and broad experience base make him a perfect fit for the job and to contribute in all aspects of Cold Mountain’s business process from deal sourcing to diligence, operational improvement, and investment realization,” Nolletti said in a statement.

Cold Mountain Capital targets companies in the aerospace, defense and industrial sectors across North America and Europe, with $1 million to $5 million in EBITDA, but also considers opportunities up to $20 million in EBITDA, according to Cold Mountain’s website. The firm also invests a small portion of capital in real estate, such as undeveloped land adjacent to national parks, distressed properties and commercial real estate.
